Fighting in the Hope of Freedom: The Peter Salem Story
Presented by Bruce Harris, Board of Trustee
On Sunday, February 25, beginning at 2:00 PMBruce Harris will present a re-enactment and musket firing demonstration based on the life of Peter Salem, a black Continental soldier and former slave who fought at Concord, Bunker Hill, Saratoga, and Monmouth.
The presentation will be at the Prallsville Mills 33 Risler St, Stockton, NJ., and will also incorporate information about the lives of the thousands of Patriots of Color who fought in the American Revolution.
The presentation is the first in a series of historical programs presented by Prallsville Mills and the Delaware River Mill Society
The program is open and free to the public.
The Mill asks that if you plan to attend, please RSVP to the number in your party. Children are welcome.
